Started out with a 1.9D (NA engine).
1.9TD pump, modified with 11mm element and some other things by Bosch. 6000rpm's.
AAZ injectors.
Homemade intake manifold.
2½" FMIC with tubing.
3" Exdhaust.
Garrett G2860RS A/R0.86
40mm exten wastegate.

NOTHING canhed inside engine, yet. (And i has been used for drag race a year now :) )

Well he has a pretty big turbine housing which limits torque/hp at lower rpm.Like Dave's Franken engine the hp achieved he is done with 6000 rpm.My 200+ hp is made at 4000-5000 rpm due to different turbo's.

BMEP rules all engines, or is it RUINS all engines?

can you disclose more info about this build? I'm specially interested in the valvegear and camshaft used :D

I had 223hp@4700rpm. But yes, it´s becouse of low end power.

I am not to good to english :)

So i try!

Standard valves and cam, from a 1Y engine.

The pump is build with a 1.9TD housing, camplate from the 1Y engine, 1mm element from a Iveco 2,5TD put together by our self :D
Bosch has made the top of the pump for us, to take i bit more rpm's.
The pump IP is set so it cant burn all the diesel when ideling, then it burns grey.

Yes it is a pretty big turbo for a diesel, but we peak at ~4500rpms at 34psi boost.

Cut and weld?

yeah I guess I could....doing this would help cut cost since the GT garrets come with wastgates...
but then I would need to find a good aluminum coupler for the end of the turbo??
better yet I could just make and bolt an adapter flange for it too?!?!?!

I really like this turbos specs...
