Man, I am really having a ruff time finding a decent VW parts dealer in Canada. Plenty in the U.S., but I'm not interested in the duty and shipping expense. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Free shipping would be nice, but not necessary. I really need a headgasket soon, and I live where there are no VW dealers. There must be a discount VW auto parts store in Canada some where?

You don't state where you are in Canada, but I'll start you off:

If you're in Toronto area, Frisco www.friscoautoparts.com is a decent resource but beware quality especially on critical items.

For mail order I haven't found anything to beat Brian Harrison @ http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/roseland/
Sent right to you, and since he's in NS, I don't get Ont PST, which offsets shipping costs 8)

If you're in Ont, this link may also help:

There are some parts places in BC also like www.rpiequipped.com and, umm...several others I can't remember :?  :P

The guy I buy all my parts from, best deals I've found anywhere:
Randy 905-407-1981. tell him Bryson sent you.
I repair, maintain and modify VW's and BMW's.
Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.
Performance Diesel Injection's Super Pump: gotta have one!

Thanks!
That'll likely save me a large endless headache. I live in Yellowknife, NT. So you can appreciate my situation. There is ZERO VW knowledge goin on up here, and the only headgaskets I can track down sourced from local shops are Felpro (which don't make an AAZ gasket, not that I'd buy one if they did :? ) Thanks again, I'm sure one of these sources will work nicely for me, but anyone that reads this, keep the suggestions coming. Others can likely use this info as well  :D

Go to www.altrom.ca and check the dealer list for somebody near you.  You can take your list of part #s down to the closest dealer to order whatever you need.  I think Brian Harrison is an altrom dealer who sells cheap...that's what I've heard.
