You have to have them already hosted somewhere on the net, like photobucket, or a web page. Then use the img button. http://www.vwdiesel.net/forum/index.php?action=help;page=post#bbcref this explains it all.

This is the code you need to use to post pictures. Note that photobucket has it precoded for your posting enjoyment

it's probably a good idea to resize the images you're uploading to a reasonable resolution.. though you don't need to go this low.  as demonstrated by the post above, the screen is widened by the rather large image that was posted, and can make it difficult for people with low resolutions to view.

using the code in this box will give a thumbnail of your image and make it a clickable link to the full size, should anyone want to view it (makes it easier on dialup users)

demonstration of thumbnail preview with link:

posting the full image directly into your thread is a piece of cake as well.  libbybapa mentioned it above, which is simply right clicking the image, and clicking copy shortcut, and then pasting it, and then highlighting it and clicking the Img button.

Is there any way to post pictures directly from your own computer? I'm not much into this social networking stuff and really have no desire to be starting up accounts at photobucket or the like. I do have to admit I'm not much of a computer whiz kid so if there is a way I'd need it explained to me  haha.

Nope...and if you think about it you probably really don't want to give the Internet access to your personal hard drive, even if it was possible.  ;-)
