Good break in oil: 10w30 diesel rated

So, I always like to break in motors with a light non syn oil, to give the seals time to soften, I like to use 10w30 Castrol fleet, but since that's tough to find, I occasionally use Mobil (non-synthetic) 10w30 see link..

I generally ditch the break in oil at about 1000 miles, same time I do a valve adjustment and final torque sequence
