fuel injection pump quantity adjuster
« on: April 30, 2008, 02:38:50 am »
I have a code P1563.  I checked the electrical pins in the pig tail from the fuel pump of the pump quantity adjuster and got an abnormal reading across pins 1 & 3 supposed to be 4.9- 7.5 and I got 13.1.  I am having interminent idle problems and occasional "missing" at driving speeds.  My question is can the quantity adjuster be replaced without buying a new pump.  It looks like it is replaceable like the temp sensor.  If so does anyone have the part number?

Have a look at this..it's in french but you'll et the idea from the pictures.
Especially the 13nth picture. Nice write up about cleaning the adjuster.

Big thanks to both Caveman and especially Syncroserge for the reply and writeup.  It's a small world when we can get such great info from, in this case, so far away!!
